Steve Jurkovich
Steve Jurkovich is the Chief Executive of Kiwibank, a role he has held since July 2018. With over two decades of banking experience across Australia and New Zealand, Steve has a comprehensive background that spans Retail, Corporate, Commercial, and Rural Banking. He has held senior and executive leadership roles at some of New Zealand’s largest banks, where he was responsible for driving growth and delivering strategic initiatives across various banking sectors.
In addition to his role at Kiwibank, Steve is a Director of the Banking Ombudsman Scheme, where he plays a key role in ensuring fair and transparent practices within the banking sector. He also served as the Chair of the New Zealand Banking Association during the challenging period of the COVID-19 pandemic, where his leadership was instrumental in navigating the sector through unprecedented challenges.
