Jon Bridges

Award-Winning Comedian, Television Producer & Columnist

Jon is a multi-award-winning television producer who has been creating for the small screen in New Zealand for nearly 30 years. He was an original pioneer in the New Zealand standup comedy scene before moving to television, starring in youth TV classic Ice TV through the late nineties. Unable to say no to a challenge in the media, Jon wrote a popular humour column in the Listener, spent four years getting up early to host a chaotic breakfast radio show, published a few books, made comedy shows, sports shows and game shows, and wrote a blog for Stuff.co.nz journalling his house build.

Jon is the co-creator and founding producer of New Zealand’s most successful comedy show ever, 7 Days, which turns ten this August. His current programme is Three’s The Project, which has spent 2.5 successful years in the primetime 7pm battleground.
