Adam's legacy in Australian Football League history is unparalleled, marked by his retirement in 2015 as the Swans' games record holder and one of the sport's most decorated players.

Yet, Adam's influence transcends sports; he actively advises organisations on their Reconciliation Action Plans, and his advocacy against racism earned him the title of Australian of the Year in 2014. He sits on the board of the Australian Literacy and Numeracy Foundation and is chairman of the Support Through Australian National Disasters (S.T.A.N.D) program, a relief initiative founded by Woolworths and the Salvation Army. He is also an ambassador for many prominent brands including Toyota, David Jones, Qantas, Woolworths and Wanderlust.
